When Wayne Brady opened up his house for a sit down on camera interview with Breakout Magazine, he decided he was going to be very candid about things he may have shied away from in the past. From his explanation to why people say he's not black enough, to why his Emmy Winning talk show "The Wayne Brady Show" was REALLY cancelled, Wayne held nothing back. Wayne's at a great place in his life now and as the new host of CBS' "Let's Make A Deal" he makes no apologies about any decisions he's made in his life thus far.

I thought I knew a lot about Wayne Brady, but I came to realize that I knew only about 6/10ths of all there is to know.  Highlights of our interview reveal that growing up in Tangelo Park, Florida was not about Disney & sunshine, but more about "New Jack City, southern style".  Wayne's actual neighborhood resembled something of a police state. There was a fortress at streets leading into his neighborhood that required searches and I.D to gain entry.  As a kid, Wayne's slight Virgin Island accent proved to be a problem for him when the tougher kids in his neighborhood saw his dialect as something to pick on.  It was this constant bullying that led him to develop the thing he's known for today...Improv! "Have you tried to talk you way out of 6 dudes trying to beat you, getting on a bus? You would've learned improv as well." Wayne is also an accomplished and well respected R&B vocalist whose debut CD garnered him his first Grammy nomination.
